An Advisory Working Group consisting of 4 independent evaluation experts meets once a year to assess the DEP’s activities and provide advice on evaluation methodology and procedures. It is currently composed of the following members:

  • Mr Niels DABELSTEIN, Co-Chairman of the Reference Group for the Joint Evaluation of the Paris Declaration, former Head of DANIDA's Evaluation Department, former President of the OECD/DAC (Development Assistance Committee) Network on Development Evaluation.

  • Professor Hans-Rimbert HEMMER, former First Vice President of Evaluation Department - Financial Cooperation of the KfW, Professor of Economics at the University of Giessen.

  • Mr Robert PICCIOTTO, Visiting Professor at King's College London, former Director General Evaluation of the World Bank Group.

  • Mr Elliot STERN, Acss, Professor of Evaluation Research, Lancaster University UK, Editor of the journal Evaluation: the International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice.

Member 2003-2004: Mr Jacques TOULEMONDE, Partner (Director and co-founder) of Eureval-C3E, Centre for European Evaluation Expertise.

Member 2006: Ms Eva LITHMAN, former Director of the Department of Evaluation and internal Audit at the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, former Chair of the OECD/DAC (Development Assistance Committee) Network on Development Evaluation.
