Cooperation areas
30 June 2026Together, they support the Bank’s most disadvantaged member countries, namely Ukraine, Western Balkan countries, Georgia and the Republic of Moldova. They partner around the Bank’s priority missions of addressing population displacements and natural disasters. They jointly address issues that are key to the social cohesion of Europe, namely the green transition and access to microfinance. Finally, they build up the capacity of the Bank’s partners to implement social projects in line with best practice.

CEB approves fourteen loans totalling €1.2 billion
19 June 2026The CEB has approved 14 new loans totalling €1.2 billion for social investment across Europe. The financing targets key sectors including housing, education, healthcare and social inclusion, with significant support to Target Group Countries. Two additional loans for Ukraine bring total CEB approvals for the country to over €800 million since its accession to the Bank in June 2023.

13 June 2025The CEB has approved nine new loans totalling €878 million to support a broad range of social infrastructure projects across its member countries. These include investments in temporary accommodation for refugees, healthcare and education facilities, as well as microfinance and MSME financing. Of the total, €300 million will go to projects that support the integration of Ukrainians displaced across Europe in their host countries. The approvals also feature a significant contribution to Türkiye’s ongoing İstanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project (ISMEP).
